Emma and Phil
Emma is herself a wedding photographer, something that was initially a little daunting for me; am I going to be able to capture her wedding day in a way she’d like? After our first meeting all those feelings were laid to rest as we were certainly singing from the same hymn sheet, we both had the similar ideas and she was more than happy to give me creative freedom over the photography on the day. I also knew from that initial meeting that I was going to have a brilliant wedding day as Emma and Phil were so natural together and not afraid to show their feelings for each other; something that definitely came out in the photographs.
Don’t let the sunshine in some of the photographs fool you though, the day of their wedding was the same day as the dreaded Storm Bronagh hit the area with gale force winds and lashings of rain, Emma and Phil braved it all for some great shots alongside the stunning war memorial on Lord Street in Southport. I also braved it, and almost avoided the rain only to get caught in a torrential downpour on the way back to the car from the ceremony and on the way to the venue. Who says I don’t suffer for my passion?
